Calvin: Inside the Protestant Mind, Part II: Calvin's Conversion to Protestantism
In the second talk of this series this we go deep inside the Protestant Mind as we examine the conversion to Protestantism of probably the greatest theologian of the Reformation era, John Calvin. When Calvin entered the University of Paris, it was to prepare for ordination to the Catholic priesthood. On the day he suddenly left Paris, within hours the authorities were in his apartment and rifling through his personal effects. Calvin was forced to flee France and slip across the border into Switzerland, from which he never returned. What was the process by which this brilliant Catholic student became an evangelical? Listen and learn.
